Presentation of sCO2-HeRo at AG Turbo

agturbo_logoOn 23-24 March 2017, the AG Turbo (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Turbo) met in Duisburg, Germany, to present their cooperative projects on expansion and compression. AG Turbo is a platform of several German universities, research centres and enterprises working on pre-competitive, application-oriented research on turbomachinery, fostering synergies in low-emission power plant technology. During this meeting, UDE presented our project sCO2-HeRo, especially the design of the sCO2-HeRo turbomachinery, to stakeholders and manufacturers.

2nd half-year meeting in Stuttgart, Germany, 18-20 January 2017

In January 2017, the sCO2-HeRo consortium met for its midterm meeting in Stuttgart, Germany,  to discuss the technical details on the system components, their implementation into the glass model at GfS and a detailed time schedule for testing and installation. In addition, the partners participated in an EU-funded Exploitation Strategy Seminar, led by an 20170119_160115adedicated innovation manager who helped in setting up a draft list of project results (in preparation to an Exploitation Plan). The partners also had the possibility to visit the sCO2 loop SCARLETT at the University of Stuttgart that is also used to test the compact HX developed for sCO2-HeRo.

1st European Seminar on “Supercritical CO2 Power Systems”, TU Vienna, 29-30 Sep 2016

Presented by Eurotherm Commitee and the Institute for Energy Systems and Thermodynamics of the TU Wien, the 1st European Seminar on “Supercritical CO2 Power Systems” took place on 29-30 Sep 2016 at the  Technical University of Vienna. In cooperation with some sCO2-HeRo partners, the TU Vienna organized this seminar in order to bring together researchers and industry participants working in the field of system concepts and components, thermodynamics, turbomachinery, modelling and experimental testing. Some sCO2-HeRo partners contributed to this event by presenting their recent results of the sCO2-HeRo project.

1st year meeting in Delft, The Netherlands, 29-30 June 2016

The sCO2-HeRo partners met up for their first year project meeting in Delft, The Netherlands. hosted by the TU Delft. The discussions focused on the complete set up of the sCO2-HeRo cycle, the definition of interfaces and the requirements for installing the system at the glass model. The Advisory Board members also made constructive comments on the project progress. The meeting was closed by a visit of the research reactor at the Reactor Building at TU Delft.
